Butler played Jennifer Hills who, following being brutally attacked by a forest cabin, and then gang-raped, seeks revenge against the culprits. Produced by Steven R. Monroe the film premiered on October 8th, 2010. Butler began shooting The Stranger Within, a psychological drama The Stranger Within alongside Estella Warren and William Baldwin in Mallorca Spain during November of 2011. The film was originally planned to be shot the film in Copenhagen Denmark, New York City as well. Butler starred in the 2013 terror film The Demented with Michael Welch and Kayla Ewell.

Ferland, in addition to being nominated for an Emmy nomination she has received during her career more than a half dozen other awards. This includes a Young Artist Award and a CAMIE Award.
