Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actor most famously known for her character Bo from the Showcase television series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay is the director of drama and producer at St. Thomas University, is Silk's mom. Silk's father Peter who was an academic, worked at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching while at work, and also attending play rehearsals. Silk was a small model in a commercial. She was a graduate of St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged two plays in the early years: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto Canada in the month of November of 1999, to keep acting. She then relocated to Los Angeles California during the following decade. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she was introduced to him during an acting workshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. In December 2009 they married in a civil wedding ceremony. In April of 2011, they renewed their vows in a Jewish wedding ceremony held in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism. Silk Cooperman gave birth to her first son Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron was her second born son on 13 May 2016. Silk's TV work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she received the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. The Canadian show Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character of a succubus. Silk was pregnant during final production of the season 3 finale. She announced the news to the viewers during the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk posted on Twitter on the 20th of June, 2013 that production was underway for Season 4. In June of 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the start of Production for Season 4 of the show. Her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers who are identical in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite TV Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top Television Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is one of the most popular shows on social networks.
